Do you still dream, can you climb the mountain?
Can you still reach out to that promised land
Do you still hope for that vision tomorrow
Do you still see for us that new day dawn?
Has any one yet found our old friends there?
Is it revealed whence they have gone?
Does it matter any more that children still cry
That social injustice survives as they die?
So where did those flowers go, so long since passing
Did they wilt and die along with what was said
Can we still reach out and hold on to your hand
Can we too still reach that promised land?
As hatred and crime seem to be so hard yet
Wonder what we really had meant
Can we still dream to reach the top of your mountain
Can we too still see your great promised land
Dedicated to the memory of Dr Martin Luther King Jr.
