Producers say the two groups are mashing up to close out 2011 on the ABC special.

The two bands, who have melded their monikers to become NKOTBSB, performed together live for the first time on the Dick Clark-produced American Music Awards last month. The supergroup plans to tour North America together next summer.

Wagner's 'Tannhaeuser' in time of war

Wartburg Castle has fallen on hard times in Tim Albery's dark vision of Richard Wagner's opera "Tannhaeuser." The people are at war, and their fortress lies in ruins.

His new staging, which opened Saturday at the Royal Opera House in London, is an engrossing production with a fine cast, highlighted by baritone Christian Gerhaher in a sensational debut.

The story focuses on the struggle between passion and morality within the title character, whom Wagner based on a real 13th…

"Hurt Locker" best picture Oscar fades in memory: poll

A Hollywood Reporter poll shows that Sandra Bullock's 2010 Oscar win fares much better in viewers' memories than "The Hurt Locker."

Only four in 10 of those questioned could recall the best picture winner -- (Iraq war film "The Hurt Locker") -- according to a poll of 700 award show viewers conducted for the Hollywood Reporter by the global research company Penn Schoen Berland.

Nearly seven in 10 viewers remembered that Bullock took home the best actress award for her role in…

Limewire music-sharing service to close December 31

LimeWire -- one of the world's biggest outlets for people to share music, movies and TV shows free of charge over the Internet -- said it would be shutting down by the end of the year and closing its sole office in New York.

In October, a U.S. federal judge granted the music industry's request to shut down the popular LimeWire file-sharing service, which had been found liable for copyright infringement.

"As a result of our current legal situation, we have no choice but to wind…

Key Verse: “O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.”—Psalm 105:1

EACH NOVEMBER IN THE United States, a day of national thanksgiving has been set, as proclaimed by the President. Most churches will hold special services on that day, and there will be much feasting by those who can afford to feast. To millions it will be just another holiday with little or no thought given to being thankful, especially not to the… Continue

Slaying of publicist baffles police, Hollywood

It's the latest mystery to grip Hollywood. A prominent publicist and woman-about-town is killed, her body slumped in her Mercedes near Sunset Boulevard.

Was it an attempted carjacking? Or something more sinister. Maybe a hit?

As the tabloid press, mainstream newspapers and websites blared with headlines Wednesday about the shooting of Ronni Chasen, tight-lipped detectives roamed this bastion of the ultra-rich, hunting for witnesses — and the killer.

Her friends and…

Is it Biblical to pay tithe to those providing Spiritual Covering in Ministry or is this a man made tradition?

First let me say that whenever anyone has become a part of the SOGI family, under the spiritual covering, it has been under the direction of God, for he has joined us together and we have always stressed covenant relationships. This is one thing that makes SOGI different than other Coverings, the development of relationships which cause use to stand together through the good, bad and ugly, for life. We hold to the principle of Covenant, Order and Establishment as we operate in covenant,… Continue
